Downtown RiverMarket Days:
RIVERMARKET will REOPEN from OCTOBER 4th until DECEMBER 13th
Located on the riverwalk, 316 South Grand St.
Welcome to the Downtown RiverMarket, the new premier destination to shop and gather on the beautiful Ouachita River. Located in a designated Louisiana Cultural District in historic downtown Monroe, Louisiana, the market’s 2012 inaugural season opened to an overwhelmingly supportive crowd and vendor response. This growing event is a recognized Louisiana Festival and continues to generate a "buzz" with both locals and tourists. The French-style market showcases artisans, fine crafts, produce, food, live music, street performers and several heavily-attended special events.
Interested vendors, sponsors, volunteers or street performers can contact the RiverMarket Office for more information.
The surrounding area is experiencing economic growth with tourism from Duck Dynasty and Antique Alley, the expansion of several large companies, and the downtown area which offers art galleries, dining and entertainment venues and new housing. The Downtown RiverMarket is a French-style market gathering space and tourist destination for commerce, culture, education, and entertainment.
